'McDonald's made me fat' case is revived

AN APPEALS court has revived part of a class-action lawsuit blaming McDonald’s for making people fat.
A US court of appeal has ruled that a district judge erred when he dismissed parts of the lawsuit brought on behalf of two New York children
in 2003, saying it failed to link the children’s alleged health problems directly to McDonald’s products. The appeals judges said New York’s general business law requires a plaintiff to show only that deceptive advertising was misleading and the plaintiff was injured as a result. The rest of the dismissal was upheld.
The lawsuit alleges that tens of thousands of children have suffered health problems after being misled about McDonald’s products.
Is it really McDonald's fault?

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. No one goes to McDonalds, orders a #1, and thinks-this is low fat. The people who should be sued are the childrens'parents for letting them eat McDonalds to their hearts content. And to the claim that McDonalds misled people about their products- I doubt that they have ever claimed that their food is healthy- because it is so obviously not.

This is stupid. Kids don't feed themselves from the age of o months to about age 12. Parents feed children. Parents know what is good for their children. McDonalds is selling fast food. You see them grill the burgers from the counter and deep fry the french fries. How in the world could a parent say that McDonalds mislet people about their food? Are people stuck on stupid or something.

RU Kidding me? When will parents start taking blame for their own lack of responsibility? For their own laziness? Drive thru is easy. Making a healthy dinner is difficult and time consuming. If McDonalds gets "hit" on this like the hot coffee "hit", we are just not taking responsibility for our own actions. It is the JURIES fault for verdicts. Remember jurors We all pay for lawsuit abuse. Each time a product price rises, blame yourselves.
